It was early evening when my son was driving home with his girlfriend. He probably did not notice the truck in front being too close to him and hit the rear with some force. The car ended up half way under the truck. My son had facial and cheat injuries. His girlfriend suffered brain damage. My son has now been discharged from hospital and after a trial has been sentenced to eight months in jail. While I feel sorry for the girl I feel this was an accident and the sentence is a little too harsh. I would like to file an appeal against the sentence
