It was one thing to allow my ex husband to visit the children as the court had ordered the visits. I had to abide by the rules and in any case he was paying for the support as well. It was totally different that he was coming in with a new woman handing on to him during every visit of his. I had borne it up at the start hoping that he would finally learn that this was just not acceptable to me. I had even been nice to the ladies accompanying him. This had in turn made him take my acceptance for granted. The other problem I faced was the questions I was facing from the children. They wanted to know who these women were and that was an answer I did not have.
I had a word with my ex husband once on this subject and was subjected to a volley of abuses and taunts of the worst kind. It was a shameful thing for me as it had happened in front of the children. I knew I had to get these visits with the women stopped at the earliest. As my ex husband was not willing to listen to what I was saying, the only option I had was to see my lawyer again for a restriction to be enforced.
My lawyer was quick in understanding the nature of the problem and took it upon himself to take action against my ex husband. He had a letter sent out asking him to refrain from visiting my place with visitors of any kind and warned of action if that did not happen immediately. Unfortunately my ex husband refused to heed to the request and wanted to continue with his ways.
We ended up in court fighting over the matter. My lawyer was prepared with the statements of our children and the awkward questions that I was facing. My ex husband on the other hand came up with the theory that these were his friends who had come over to see the children. That was not the truth as everyone knew it. We had our way at having the visits stopped altogether until my ex husband stopped bringing his so called friends along.
He did not like it to start with and stopped his visits altogether.
